What Raise & Relate stores
Raise & Relate stores account email addresses, display names, family membership, check-in records, topics and boards, wall posts, notes, wins, growth areas, routines, family values, milestones, adventure and service goals, agreements, freedom requests, consequences, expectations, child profiles, and private invitations — the content a family adds to run its shared workspace.
Children's accounts
Kids' accounts are created and managed by a parent. Children under 13 can only use Raise & Relate within a family workspace their parent controls; parents choose what each child can see and can remove a child's account and content at any time. Raise & Relate collects no more information from children than the family itself enters. We do not show ads to anyone, and never to children.
How families use it
Family members in the same workspace see shared family content. Parents-only wall posts, parent notes, and behavior observations are visible only to parent accounts, protected by application permissions and enforced again at the data layer. Behavior observations are intended to help a parent notice context and helpful responses; they are never a child score, sibling comparison, or shared family feed. There is no location tracking, message reading, web filtering, or screen-time surveillance anywhere in the product.
What Raise & Relate is not
Raise & Relate is not a medical, therapy, emergency, or crisis service. Families should use local emergency resources or qualified professionals for urgent safety, mental health, legal, or medical concerns.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell family data. We do not use family content for advertising. Our analytics are first-party, cookieless, and structural — they never contain the content of what your family writes. Apart from the parent-initiated AI feature described below, data access is limited to operating, securing, supporting, and improving the service.
Trusted adults. A parent may give a grandparent, mentor a private, read-only link that shows only the scopes the parent selects (wins and accomplishments) and only first names — never a child's private writing. It's parent-granted and revocable at any time.
AI-assisted features
AI-assisted features are off until a parent turns them on for your family (Account settings → AI-assisted features). Until then, nothing about your family is sent to any AI provider. When they're on:
Thriving brief. A parent can generate an optional summary to prepare for a weekly check-in. When — and only when — a parent chooses to generate one, Raise & Relate sends a summary of your family's current entries (family name, first names and age range, expectations, family entries and daily reflections, wins, and growth areas) to our AI provider, Anthropic, which returns a summary and suggestions. This is not automatic and never runs on its own.
Conversation coach. A parent can optionally ask for help phrasing a hard conversation. When they do, only the situation the parent types is sent to Anthropic to suggest respectful, clear wording; Raise & Relate does not save the coach conversation as a family record. We keep content-free usage totals to limit cost.
In every case the data sent is not used to train AI models and is not sold. AI requests may be retained by Anthropic for up to 30 days, subject to its policy and any applicable agreement. Every part of Raise & Relate works with AI off, and a parent can turn it off again at any time.
Export and deletion
We temporarily keep an email delivery copy so a failed weekly recap can be retried without sending duplicates. The copy is removed after successful delivery or when the retry window ends.
Any parent can download a complete archive of the family's data (readable JSON plus original photos) or permanently delete the account and every piece of content — self-service, from the "Family data & privacy" page inside the app, no support request needed. Deletion is irreversible and also removes the family’s analytics rows. If billing is active, renewals must be stopped and outstanding invoices settled first. We retain a minimal closure record containing Stripe identifiers and dates so cancellation can be retried and verified. Private child journals are excluded from a parent’s family export.
Parent responsibility
Parents and guardians are responsible for inviting family members, managing membership and roles, and choosing what information belongs in Raise & Relate.
